What’s new in Whisper One

Six languages, one dictation shortcut

German, Portuguese, French and Hindi join Chinese and English. New installations start with automatic language detection.

• Choose a language in Settings when you want to guide recognition. French and Hindi use their tested configurations when selected manually.
• Chinese-English mixed dictation remains available. Hindi-English mixed dictation is deferred and is not listed as a language option.
• Existing language preferences are kept when you update. The app interface remains available in English and Simplified Chinese.

Automatic detection and manually selected languages can produce different results. Review names, technical terms and numbers before sending.

More useful performance diagnostics

Improved account-linked usage and timing diagnostics to help investigate transcription delays. The added analytics events do not include recordings or transcript text.

A clearer first dictation

A five-step setup flow helps you reach your first dictation. Launch at login is now an option in Settings, and the home screen makes it clearer where your words will be inserted.
