Speak to Claude and ChatGPT
Give an AI assistant context, a goal, and a useful output format.
Set up the conversation
Open Claude or ChatGPT in its website or app and sign in there if needed. Click the message input field. Whisper One supplies text input; the assistant generates its response after you submit the prompt. Your access to that assistant is managed separately.
Dictate a useful brief
- Name the task: compare, summarize, plan, explain, or draft.
- Give the background the assistant needs. Add relevant facts yourself; dictation does not automatically read your screen, email, documents, or selected text.
- State constraints: audience, tone, length, deadline, and information it must not invent.
- Describe the output format. Finish recording, review the inserted prompt, then submit it yourself.
A prompt you can speak
Help me prepare a project update for my manager. The prototype is ready, user testing starts next week, and the launch date is still undecided. Write three bullets: progress, risks, and next steps. Use plain English and do not invent dates.
Press Fn to start and again to finish. For practice, keep each recording under 30 seconds. For a longer brief, add background and constraints in separate recordings before submitting the complete message.
Review the response
Check facts, missing context, and unsupported claims. A fluent answer can still be wrong. If the assistant guesses, dictate a follow-up asking it to mark assumptions or ask a clarifying question. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or information you are not allowed to share.
Chinese and English currently work best for dictation; support for other languages is rolling out. The language used in the assistant's answer is a separate instruction in your prompt.
