Turn an outline into a draft

Record your audience, key points, and closing in short sections.

Start with an outline you can say

A first draft is easier when you do not try to dictate a perfect article in one take. Use three short sections: who it is for and why, the key points, and the ending. Fn dictation supports up to 5 minutes per recording, while in-app recordings have a 30-second limit.

Build the outline

  1. Open an editable document or the message field in Claude or ChatGPT.
  2. Record the audience and purpose. Finish and review that section.
  3. Record two or three facts or arguments, then a closing request or conclusion. Use separate recordings as needed.
  4. If you are writing directly in a document, arrange the text yourself. If you want an AI-generated draft, add an instruction and submit the complete brief to the assistant.

A three-part example

Audience and purpose: this is an internal note asking the team to test the new onboarding flow before Friday.

Key points: the sign-in screen has changed, permission setup now comes earlier, and we need feedback on confusing steps. We have not completed the test yet.

Draft a short note with a clear opening, three bullets, and one request for feedback. Keep the tone friendly and do not claim the test has already passed.

The third part is an instruction for an AI assistant. In a normal document field it may simply appear as text. Whisper One does not automatically expand every spoken outline into a long article.

Check the draft

Confirm the audience, factual claims, dates, and next action. Remove repeated points and unsupported details. Treat the result as a first version: rewrite the opening or dictate specific feedback into the AI conversation before sharing it.
